Some employers in the civil construction industry are covered by federal awards and federal agreements.

Different awards may apply to employees who:

Work as a:

• labourer, rigger, scaffolder, steel fixer, and concreter on building construction sites
• landscapers
• cartographers, surveyors and survey hands
• electrician for a licensed electrical contractor

 Exceptions:

You may not be covered by an award if you:

• work as a builder or construction manager
• worked as a building supervisor
