Research Database Subscriptions
The Industrial Relations Information Service (IRIS) provides an extensive research database that enables full text searching on documents of the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. These documents have been categorised as follows:
- Awards (including associated amendments and correction of errors)
- Agreements (i.e. Certified Agreements, Industrial Agreements and Enterprise Flexibility Agreements)
- Decisions (including General Rulings, Judgments, Statements of Policy and Interpretations)
- Orders
- Notices
What are the benefits and features of the IRIS research database?
- Queensland State Awards On-line and their associated history - IRIS contains both current and repealed documents, as well their associated history. Historical documents are all gazetted documents such as amendments, repeals, general rulings and decisions that are associated with a document. For both current and repealed documents, a document history may be accessed from the search result lists.
- Advanced IRIS Database Search - Sophisticated search facilities will provide streamlined results.
- What's New - Keep abreast of industrial relations issues as they are gazetted from the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.

How much does it cost to subscribe to the IRIS research database?
You can access this database by annual subscription. A subscriber fee of $770.20* gives you password access to the IRIS database for a period of 12 months from the date that payment is received. Upon payment of the subscription, clients are issued with a unique password which is needed to gain access to the IRIS database internet site. This password enables multiple users to have unlimited access to the system. Please refer to the terms and conditions of access. *Note: IRIS is a service exempt from GST.
How do I subscribe?
Simply download the order form (PDF, 43 kB), read the terms and conditions of access carefully and choose one of the following available ordering methods:
- Post the completed form, together with your payment to IRIS
- Phone through your credit card details
- Fax your completed form including your credit card details
IRIS accepts payment by cash, money order, cheque (made payable to the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations) or credit card (i.e. Mastercard, Bankcard, Visa or American Express).
