The Industrial Relations Information Service (IRIS) offers for sale current copies of individual state awards, agreements or orders of the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.

What are the benefits of purchasing or subscribing to a State award, agreement or order?
One-Off Purchases:
IRIS offers for sale the latest copy of State awards/agreements/orders in a choice of formats (i.e. either booklet form, on disk, CD-Rom or by email in MS Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF formats).
Included in selected Queensland awards are complimentary tables of wages calculated to include the prescribed district allowance, casual loadings, penalty rates, and other allowances, where applicable.
Subscription Service:
IRIS provides an annual subscription service that keeps you informed of industrial relations issues pertaining to your award.
How much does it cost to purchase or subscribe to an award/agreement/order?
Purchasing and subscription costs for all awards, agreements and orders, available for sale are detailed in our price list. Postage and handling charges apply for one-off purchases, however form part of the annual subscription fee.
Note: IRIS is a service exempt from GST.
What are the benefits of subscribing?
For an annual subscription fee, members will receive:
- The latest copy of the award/agreement in a choice of formats (i.e. either booklet form, on disk, CD-Rom or by email);
- Notification of amendments immediately after they have been gazetted.
Note: If there are major changes to the award/agreement to which you subscribe, a consolidated copy of the award, will also be sent.
Before the lapse of your twelve-month membership, an invitation to renew your subscription will be sent, for your consideration. Upon receipt of your renewal payment, you will receive another consolidated copy of the award, incorporating all updates over the previous 12 months.
How to place an order
Ordering from IRIS is fast, safe and convenient. Simply download the order form (PDF, 28 kB) and choose one of the five available ordering methods:
- Post the completed form, together with your payment to IRIS
- Phone through your credit card details
- Fax your completed form including your credit card details
- Visit any Wageline office throughout Queensland
- Email your order with your credit card details through to the IRIS Administrator
IRIS accepts payment by cash, money order, cheque (made payable to the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations) or credit card (i.e. Mastercard, Bankcard, Visa or American Express).
How long does it take to receive my order?
Orders are usually mailed within 24 hours upon receipt of payment. If prompt delivery is a concern, awards/agreements can be emailed direct following credit card approval.
Can you fax the award, parts of the award or wage rates?
Unfortunately, we cannot fax the award or take excerpts from an award. The award must be read in its entirety to ensure that the information in the award covers your work situation or business.
Wageline has developed award summary sheets for selected Queensland state awards as a quick reference guide for employers and employees. These summary sheets include wage rates and an extract of commonly requested information. Not all awards have a summary sheet and not all conditions of employment provided for in an award are covered in a summary sheet. Summary sheets, where applicable, are included with the award purchased.
