Commencing at the far north point of Noosa Heads then following the coast line west, to the Noosa River, following the river to its junction with Wooroi Creek, then following Wooroi Creek to its junction with McKinnon Drive, then following that road east to its junction with Butler Street, then following Butler Street south west (the road becoming Cooroy-Noosa Road) until its junction with Beckhams Road, following that road to its junction with the Eumundi Noosa Road, then following that road to its junction with Fellowship Drive, then in a straight line south to Nambour-Bli Bli Road, then following that road west (the road becoming Bli Bli Road, National Park Road, Netherton Street, Blackall Terrace and Mapleton Road) to the junction of Mapleton Road and Carter Road, then following Carter Road to its junction with Arundell Avenue, then following Arundell Avenue to its junction with Lamington Terrace, then following Lamington Terrace in a south-easterly direction until it becomes the Nambour Connection Road, then following the Nambour Connection Road in a southerly direction to its junction with the Bruce Highway, then following the Bruce Highway in a southerly direction to its junction with the Sunshine Motorway, then following the Sunshine Motorway east to its junction with Military Road, then in a straight line south to Bells Creek, then following that creek to the Pumicestone Channel; and the suburb of Maleny.
The Brisbane Statistical Division referred to above, means the Brisbane statistical division defined in the 2001 edition of the Australian Standard Geographical Classification (Cat. No. 1216.0) published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics and includes the localities within the boundaries detailed below:
