Public holidays

In Queensland the Holidays Act 1983 (PDF, 321kB) provides for the appointment of public holidays, show holidays and special holidays.

2008 show holidays
Show holidays are appointed in districts throughout Queensland in relation to annual agricultural, horticultural or industrial shows.

2008 special holidays
Special holidays are appointed for special events or commemorative days in certain districts throughout Queensland.
