Wage Increase - Effective 1st September 2005
On 15 August 2005 the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission announced its 2005 State Wage Case decision by way of a General Ruling amending awards from 1 September 2005.
  

 

Wages or salaries prescribed by all awards for full-time adults employees shall be increased from 1 September 2005 by an additional sum of $17 per week.

The minimum wage for full-time employees in Queensland shall be increased to $484.40 per week effective 1 September 2005 (previously $467.40).  For more details on the Queensland Minimum Wage >>> 

Certain other award-related provisions and allowances are to be increased as a result of the General Ruling.

Note:  Wages and/or allowances may also be increased from 15 August 2005 in some relevant awards (to be advised) in accordance with the QIRC Wage Case Adjustment 1987-2004 General Ruling of 27 June 2005.
